We appreciated soundproof room with air conditioning and accommodating staff. The location was excellent and favourable, a 10-15 minute walk from an urban park.

The personnel was really helpful. The hotel had a central location and it was only a short distance to Radio.

Great location for all aspects of Madrid. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times and spoke good English, which is a bonus. The rooms were of good size, comfortable, quiet and impeccably clean.

Perhaps the means to make a hot drink in the morning might have been useful.

The location was absolutely mind-blowing, right in the heart of the city. The clean and spacious room with comfy beds was a pleasant surprise. The friendly receptionist was super helpful, even providing a spare plug/adaptor. Excellent value for money! Free Wi-Fi, luggage storage, flat-screen TV, lift, VIP check-in/out, no pets allowed.

One of the workers met us as we were entering and brought us to a different hotel, as they did not have our triple room open for the night we had booked many weeks before. The replacement hotel was quite nice, but it would have been keen on their part to notify us sooner.

Exceptionally clean, great value hotel, its location was marvellous and near the Puerta del Sol or The Prado Gallery in less than 10 minutes, the most attractions : museums, and many restaurants and bars.

We had a great time exploring the city and Pension Carrera was the perfect base for our adventures. The location was superb, just a few blocks from the main plaza. The room was clean and the master bed was comfortable. Despite being an old building, there was no musty smell and the window provided a nice view of the bustling street below. a fine hotel for our needs.

Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.
